Fraud protection for internet purchases

What is Verified by Visa? It is a free risk management program designed by Visa to provide protection against internet fraud. It requires each Visa cardholder to confirm his or her identity with a password when performing a transaction at a participating merchant website.

Simply register your card one of two ways:

1. Register at www.visa.com/verified click on the Verified by VISA Logo. It will just take a few minutes and you’re ready to go.

2. If you prefer to register only if requested by the merchant (some merchants require additional security and therefore require the card to be registered through Verified by Visa), just look for the Verified by Visa symbol. Click on it and then follow the steps when it’s time to complete your purchase / payment. Once you’ve registered, your Verified by Visa password will be required at all participating online merchants.
